Diet: Insects, rodents, boiled eggs.  Some tegus may take some fruit or other plant matter.

Habitat: Large, sturdy cage with branches, logs, or flat rocks for climbing on and hiding under.  Cypress mulch or coco fiber for substrate - they like to burrow.  UV light or unfiltered sunlight during daytime.  80 - 90F with basking area of 95F.   Moderate to high humidity.  Large, heavy water bowl.
